Insulating Concrete Roof Decks are high-performance roof insulation systems that reduce roof maintenance and replacement costs. Low-Density Insulating Concrete (LDIC) is batched on-site and used to encapsulate expanded polystyrene insulation to provide permanent roof insulation and slope-to-drain. LDIC decks provide high R-values, increased fire and wind ratings, and a built-in air-barrier, increasing the overall performance of the building envelope.
For projects that require fire rated roof assemblies, LDIC is a more economical alternative, eliminating the need for spray fireproofing on the underside of the steel roof deck.
Elastizell Insulating Concrete Roof Systems
Elastizell Insulating Concrete is a type of cellular concrete. Cellular concrete is made by mixing Portland Cement, water, and air-entraining foam. Elastizell requires only one-fourth the mix water of expanded aggregate insulating concrete, making Elastizell a very versatile product that can be used over almost any substrate.
Siplast® Insulating Concrete Roof Systems
Siplast Insulating Concrete Systems combine the unique properties of insulating concrete and Insulperm premium expanded polystyrene foam insulation board. Siplast Insulating Concrete is available in three mix designs: ZIC, NVS and Insulcel. These three mix designs represent a range of compressive and tensile strengths, allowing a choice of system based on substrate and specific project circumstances. Each design encapsulates the insulation board in insulating concrete.
Siplast NVS (Non-Vented Substrate) Concrete Roof System
The Siplast NVS (Non-Vented Substrate) System has been engineered for use over concrete substrates, reroofing and, where appropriate, re-cover applications. In these applications, NVS Insulating Concrete, combined with Insulperm Insulation Board (encapsulated in the insulating concrete), provides positive slope-to-drain over flat or irregular substrates.
